Richard Marx Getting a Divorce After 25 Years

Richard Marx and Cynthia Rhodes Divorcing After 25 Years of Marriage

The king of love ballads and his wife are no longer singing the same tune.

Richard Marx, 50, the pop singer behind romantic '80s and '90s hits like "Right Here Waiting," and "Hold On to the Nights," has announced that he and his wife, actress and singer Cynthia Rhodes, 57, are splitting, PEOPLE confirms.

The couple have been separated since July and are in the process of divorcing after 25 years of marriage, his rep tells PEOPLE.

The announcement was initially made on Friday's episode of Katie. "Well, you're back on the market," Katie Couric said. "How are you feeling about dating?"

"It's all brand new to me, so I'm just having fun," Marx replied. While he did admit that recently turning 50 had had an effect on him, he insisted he wasn't having a midlife crisis.

"You hit 50 and go, what do I want to do differently?" he explained. "I want to do as much differently as possible."

Marx and Rhodes met in 1983, when the actress, best known for her role as Penny Johnson inDirty Dancing, was playing John Travolta's love interest in the film Staying Alive and Marx was working on the soundtrack.

After four years of dating, they wed in 1989. She then retired to concentrate on raising their three sons, Brandon, 23, Lucas, 21, and Jesse, 20. The couple lived in Lake Bluff, Illinois.

Amber Tamblyn To Play Charlie Harper’s Lesbian Daughter On ‘Two And A Half Men’

After a lengthy search, Amber Tamblyn has been tapped for the buzzy new role on veteran CBS comedy Two And A Half Men. Tamblyn will play Jenny, Charlie Harper’s (former 2.5 Men star Charlie Sheen) illegitimate daughter. Jenny has moved to L.A. to pursue acting and connect with what’s left of her family. In a twist, she likes everything her dad liked, including women. For now, Tamblyn is set to recur in five episodes. But if it pops, the character could potentially become a co-lead on the show alongside stars Jon Cryer and Ashton Kutcher, filling the void left by the departure as a regular of original co-lead Angus T. Jones (aka the “half” in Two And A Half Men). There is a scenario for Jenny to eventually move in with Walden (Kutcher) and her uncle Alan Harper (Cryer). Tamblyn, repped by UTA, Hyler Management and Sloane Offer Weber Dern, got her break on CBS as the lead of Joan Of Arcadia and also did a season-long arc on Fox’s House.

Nina Dobrev In Cosmopolitan September 2013

With her CW series "The Vampire Diaries" on the verge of its new season, Nina Dobrev fronts the September 2013 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine.
While rocking designer duds from Michael Kors and Gucci for the Matthias Vriens-McGrath-shot spread, the 24-year-old actress dished about her friendship with Julianne Hough and even reveals the kind of guys she's attracted to.

Check out a few highlights from Miss Dobrev's interview below. FOr more, be sure to visit Cosmopolitan!
On not leaning on Julianne during her breakup with Ian Somerhalder
"That's not what our friendship is about. Unfortunately, that's how it's perceived, but there's more to us. People aren't defined by their relationships. The whole point is being true to yourself and not the losing yourself in relationships, whether romances or friendships."
On putting pressure on herself:
"I'm constantly trying to make myself better, to learn more. I didn't finish college so I feel like I'm always having to prove myself. I don't want to feel like the smallest person in the room."
On the type of guys she looks for:
"I'm progressive in some ways, old-fashioned in others. I like when guys hold the door open and are sweet and thoughtful. The guys on our show are really good at that. A man in a suit looking put together and dapper is very attractive, but I also kind of like the I-just-rolled-out-of bed, a-little-bit-of-scruff, effortless, not-trying-hard-but-still-sexy guy. If a guy spends more time looking in the mirror than I do, that's a problem!"
On future projects:
"I want to open my own yoga studio. Planning construction and looking at properties is fun. I'm using a different part of my brain. You know that feeling when you use a different muscle? You're excited to be exercising it, but you get a little sore! Yoga changed my life. Hopefully, it will do that for others."

Jennifer Aniston Shows Off Flawless Face

Jennifer Aniston Shows Off Flawless Face
Some stars are nearly unrecognizable without their face painted on, but Jennifer Aniston recently proved she has natural good looks without make-up.
On Saturday, the "Friends" star's longtime stylist (who was also responsible for "The Rachel"), posted a snapshot of the two with the caption, "Best #friends #no makeup #girl-time."

Having worked together for 20 years, the 44-year-old actress already asked him to style her hair for her wedding to Justin Theroux, though it may not be so traditional.

Explaining why she won't have an updo, Jen shares, "I like loose and natural hair because it goes against the formality of the dress. Loose, like 'I just got out of bed, maybe had a romp' hair."
